Vanessa Ervin is a board member of Meeks Mountain Trail Alliance and also serves on the Marketing and Events Committees.
Vanessa was born in Ohio but moved to West Virginia before she was five years old. She's lived in Putnam County ever since, with a brief stint in Morgantown, and Pittsburgh, PA.

Vanessa is currently a Marketing Specialist for Terracon Consultants and is active in several Putnam County boards to grow the area and give the growing community outlets for recreation and networking. She genuinely enjoys the outdoors and feels that it’s something that everyone can enjoy, also.
Venessa lives in Winfield with her husband Lance and their two children.

In her own words...
Why are you involved in MMTA?
Two reasons. First, I live here. A public trail system enhances our community, gives us access to outdoor recreation, and exists for the betterment of our health. Second, I work here and want to see our area prosper. Trail systems are proven to attract visitors and boost spending at local businesses. Above all, the trail system cannot build or sustain itself and I’m honored to be part of this team to help this effort grow.
If you could only pick one activity on the trails, what would it be?
I love running but if it comes down to one activity then it is most definitely hiking with my husband and our kids. They love the trails and it’s an activity we can all do together.
What is something no one else knows about you?
I can recite all 55 West Virginia counties by heart!
